Taking a stroll in the peak district and my very first Rugby game

6 oktober 2016 - Edale, Verenigd Koninkrijk

Last Sunday we went on a give it a go from the hiking club, which meant we were to go hiking in Edale. “Surrounded by majestic Peak District countryside, this cluster of stone houses set around a pretty parish church is an enchanting place to pass the time”. However we didn’t see that much of Edale itself, we went on a hike to the surrounding area. I choose the 10k hike which was right up my alley, it was not too far and we still went to the top of mam tor. Which is apparently a very famous hill in the peak district. The hike was awesome and we saw some of England’s beautiful nature.

Later that week, on Wednesday, we went to the varsity rugby game. It was the grand finale between the Leeds University team (at which I currently study) and the Leeds Beckett University. The atmosphere was unbelievable, there were up to 15.535 students in the stadium and the crowd went insane when something happened. I don’t know much about rugby but luckily we were in the company of someone who could tell us everything what was going on. I am so happy I bought tickets to go there it was definitely an unforgettable experience.
